You’re interested. Now what? The first step in the franchising process is the assessment interview. Ideally, we would like to get to know you in person—that way we have the chance to show you around one of our shops and its attached gelato lab. The assessment interview also gives you a better idea of what it takes to set up and manage one of our shops.
Choosing the perfect location
Finding the perfect location is critically important. Over time, we have fine-tuned our site selection process to ensure key parameters are taken into account, including: transport accessibility and walkability, distance from potential competitors and proximity to popular attractions (such as shopping areas, stadiums, schools and universities, cultural sites, historic districts and pedestrian zones). Besides location, we also consider shop size, requisites for constructing the adjoining gelato production lab and the comfort of the customer space.
After identifying a potential store, we can estimate total investments. Start-up costs vary depending on the size and location of the store, as well as the property’s initial condition.
Signing the contract
Almost there! After we have resolved all the various organisational, logistical and financial technicalities, it is time to formalise our partnership by signing the contract.
All RivaReno shops are designed with our aesthetic, which is modelled after the ‘gourmet boutique’ look. We create this look by combining high quality, luxe materials with a warm, welcoming colour palette. In every store design, we seek the ideal balance between visual appeal and practicality, refinement and functionality.
To ensure recognisability and continuity of the brand across different locations, our central team is always highly involved in the design process.
Training the staff
Properly trained staff members are an invaluable part of your business. While training your new staff may seem challenging, you can rest assured that RivaReno will be there to help. Our central team directly manages initial trainings to get employees comfortable with our methods and equipment as quickly and efficiently as possible.
