Desserts with mascarpone

Creamy, greedy and versatile… no, we’re not talking about ice cream, but about one of the tastiest ingredients for making delicious desserts: mascarpone.

Desserts with mascarpone, in fact, are simple and of great effect: not only the classic tiramisu, but also a thousand variations of flavored creams with which to fill pies or taste with a spoon and, why not, prepare soft cakes and plumcakes.

The most delicious recipes of spoon desserts with mascarpone

The consistency of mascarpone is truly unique and its delicate flavor combines perfectly with many ingredients to create, quickly and without cooking, excellent desserts to serve as a meal to friends.

Playing with textures is a trick to make any mascarpone spoon dessert a true masterpiece. Do you prefer a fluffy base? The best are ladyfingers and sponge cakes. If you love crunchy textures, crumble and biscuits such as tozzetti and cantucci are ideal.

To make the cream, leave room for imagination: to mascarpone and sugar you can add egg whites whipped until stiff or cream, spices such as cinnamon or vanilla, chopped almonds, chocolate or citrus peel.

If you have chosen a soft base, then, you can also prepare an aromatic dip. For the summer there is nothing better than lemon juice and, if there are no children at the table, green light for liqueur wines such as Marsala and Porto or fragrant spirits such as Limoncello, Grand Marnier or Amaretto.

Cakes, pies and cheesecake with mascarpone cream, with and without eggs

Mascarpone, however, is also an excellent ingredient for cooking surprising cakes.

With a light cream, prepared without eggs but adding cream and jelly to the mascarpone, you will quickly have an exquisite filling for cheesecake and pies to which you can add jam, fresh fruit, hazelnut or pistachio cream.

Surprising, moreover, is the softness that mascarpone is able to give to plumcakes and cakes for breakfast. Just add about 125 g at room temperature for every 250 g of flour and work the dough very well with sugar, eggs and yeast.

Also in this case it is possible to play with creativity and add chocolate chips, apples, strawberries or dried fruit to the base of the soft mascarpone cake.

Alice ice cream: the RivaReno specialty with mascarpone, gianduia and marsala

As imaginative lovers of quality and goodness, we have experimented with combinations to create a specialty that is truly one of the most loved of our production: Alice.

A mascarpone ice cream to which we added a glass of one of the finest fortified wines in Sicily: Marsala Vergine Soleras DOC.

And not only that, Alice would not be a true monument to gluttony if it were not served with a generous pour of melted gianduia.
